If you are a narrator (or for example an indie-author who’s going to record own audiobook and doesn’t want to spend money on mastering), then here’s how you can do the DIY audiobook mastering pretty easily.
- freeware audio editor Audacity;
- IMPORTANT — couple of ‘must-have’ plugins (by checking this link you will also find out how to install them… and yeah, these are the plugins about which I am saying at the beginning of the video, so don’t be confused);
- a bit of patience!
Please watch this short “how-to” video about the audiobook mastering process. It’s not the best one and it’s not the only one… but it works! If you already have pretty good recording (please check out this article just in case), time and patience… you’re good to go!
Don’t forget to check the ACX submission requirements (if you didn’t know about them yet).
